GPS bracelet for seniors SWX-S8 combines the functions of a tracking and security device. The bracelet looks great simply , and therefore it is especially suitable for older generations parents or grandparents who are not enthusiastic about modern devices with touch screens and many different functions.

Thanks to the GPS function, you can track the location of your senior on the map and get rid of the fear that he might get lost. The GPS function can track the bracelet with an accuracy of up to 10 meters. In addition to tracking the location of the bracelet, it allows monitor heart rate user. Thanks to the possibility of connecting with a mobile application, other functions of the bracelet can also be used, such as the SOS button function, the GeoFence function or the possibility of two-way communication with the senior via the bracelet.

  • Geofence feature
  • SOS button
  • two-way communication via telephone
  • Health monitoring

Simple appearance and control

At first glance, the bracelet looks more than simple. It has only two control buttons. Less technically proficient seniors will not be intimidated by the ultra-modern touch device, which they often refuse to learn how to use "on their old knees". However, these buttons are multi-functional.

SOS button for safety

After pressing the red SOS button, the preset phone number is automatically dialed. If the recipient does not answer the call, the device will send an SMS with the location of the device.

Two-way communication

The green button with a microphone icon is used to record an audio message (long press) or listen to an audio message (short press). The green button can also be used to answer a standard incoming call.

Defining the limits of movement

Another great feature is the so-called GeoFence (fence), which allows you to set the boundaries of the area in which the bracelet (senior) can move freely. Once the limit is crossed, a notification will appear in the mobile application.

  • possibility to set up to 3 alarms, e.g. to remind you to take your medication
  • Supported networks: GSM (B2 B3 B5 B8), TDD-LTE (B1 B3 B5 B8), FDD-LTE (B38 B39 B40 B41)
  • waterproof IP67
  • Dimensions 6 x 4.2 x 1.7 cm
  • suitable for wrist circumference: 14 - 21.5 cm (first - last hole)

For the bracelet to work properly, you need to insert a Nano-SIM card with active data and download the application to your phone or tablet SeTracker2 , which is available for free for Android or iOS operating systems in the Play Store or AppStore. The application is in English. In the mobile application, you can make additional settings, for example, set up to 15 contacts or up to 3 emergency contacts that will be dialed sequentially after pressing the SOS button.

The bracelet contains a built-in battery, which is recharged using the included charging cable in the package. The connector of this cable is magnetic, which makes it easier to connect the watch and minimizes damage when conventional chargers are pulled out of the charging port. If the bracelet's battery capacity drops below 20%, a notification will appear in the mobile application,

The bracelet has three working modes, namely tracking, normal and energy saving mode. In tracking mode, the GPS position is updated every minute, in normal mode every 10 minutes, and in power saving mode every hour.

CAT 1 connectivity

The capabilities of individual devices that connect to the LTE network are distinguished in radio technology using "categories", the so-called CAT. The key difference between CAT4 and CAT1 is primarily the data transfer speed.

CAT1

It is a connection protocol created specifically for Machine-to-Machine (M2M) IoT applications and supports a maximum download speed of up to 10 Mbps. The used band is narrower, which saves energy. CAT1 modems allow much more traffic to fit into the same LTE bandwidth. This category is considered an ideal solution for devices that do not make high demands on communication, are not dependent on high-speed data transfer, but still require the reliability of a 4G network.
CAT1 connectivity thus fully meets the requirements of e.g. children's GPS watches, which for their reliable operation do not need as much data flow as other more sophisticated and demanding devices.

CAT4

Category CAT 4 devices are able to work with a larger volume of data and allow downloads at speeds of up to 150 Mb/s.

SUMMARY:
Although devices with LTE CAT4 connection are faster in terms of data volume transfer, they are also more energy-intensive. Devices with an LTE CAT1 connection have a slower data flow, but are more energy efficient and thus last longer in operation than identical devices working with CAT4.
